TIPS FOR A HEALTHY BEARD

Before we get into the details of growing a beard, let's mention some basic information that will help you understand a little more.

As we all know, beards are facial hair, on the cheeks, neck, jawline and the area around the lips.

In English, each form of facial hair is referred to by the generic name "beard".

We Greeks use the words beard, beard and beard to describe our facial hair, whose difference in meaning is not so different.

All these words, in general, are synonymous.

Types of facial hair

Two kinds of hairs grow on our face.

The lighter, blond, more youthful hairs (vellus) and the thicker, darker hairs (terminal).

As we get older, the lighter hairs turn into darker hairs, which are now the mature beard.

When do beard grows

Beards can start to grow anywhere between puberty, late 20s or early 30s (even later in some cases).

Unfortunately there is no way to control when the beard will appear, how thick it is, its colour and texture.

All of these characteristics depend on DNA, such as eye height and colour.

The key to growing a beard is patience.

Every beard is unique.

It may even take a few years to find its shape.

We know that's not the most pleasant news.

But remember that all those characters with thick beards we see on TV and the internet were not born with those beards.

They too may have had to deal with a patchy beard for quite some time until they got what they have now.

Whether you're an experienced beard groomer, or if you're growing a beard for the first time, the first month is always a challenge.

Depending on the day or even the week, your beard may be exactly how you want it one moment and the very next, it may not obey you at all.

The importance of health in beard development

Beard growth is inextricably linked to health, genes, and even your testosterone levels. Unfortunately, the hormone that makes your beard thick affects your hair strands in the exact opposite way.

These are all things beyond our control, so let's talk about what we can control.

It is necessary to take care of yourself.

Beards are not at their best when you are stressed, not feeding properly and not exercising.

For maximum results, you need to take care of your body, feed yourself properly and exercise.

The hormones that affect the beard.

Beard growth depends mainly on the hormones and more specifically, testosterone and dihydrotestosterone (DHT). Simple testosterone is converted into the more active DHT. The amount of DHT in the reproductive system directly affects the beard and the way it grows.

Men with high levels of testosterone and DHT usually have more beards than those with low levels. If the body is genetically predisposed to sensitivity to these hormones, then it is more likely to develop a beard at an earlier age.

On the other hand, men with lower levels of DHT are more likely not to lose their hair.

Being in your 20s and having a sparse beard doesn't necessarily mean you have low hormone levels. It has to do with sensitivity to these hormones, not levels.

Since testosterone is naturally produced by the body, it means that there are ways to increase it without supplements. Weights and exercise are very important factors. Along with exercise it is important to get enough carbohydrates, protein and good fats.

This raises energy levels, improves metabolism and increases testosterone production. Good rest and reducing stress will keep your body healthy and help grow a beard.

The best foods for a healthy beard.

The link between a healthy body and a healthy beard is very close. If you have a balanced, healthy diet, not only will you benefit in general, but you will increase your chances of growing the perfect beard.

Here are some foods that are miraculous for beard health.

Sweet potatoes.

High in Beta Carotene, which improves cell growth in the beard. Beta Carotene is converted into Vitamin A by increasing the rate of cell formation in facial hair.

Oysters

One of the best sources of zinc. Zinc is a very important mineral that helps the cells responsible for hair growth. Oysters are also a very good source of protein.

Eggs

Rich in protein, eggs are a natural source of Biotin, which strengthens the hair and is a known supplement for growing hair. Eggs also contain minerals such as iron, calcium and zinc.

Spinach

Rich in calcium, iron, magnesium, protein and potassium that contribute to healthy beard growth.

Liver

Packed with protein, iron and Biotin.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon helps oxygen flow to hair follicles.

You can of course take many of these natural vitamins in supplement form as well.

Your beard is an extension of yourself.

If you are not properly nourished and healthy, this image will be reflected in your beard.

The vitamins mentioned before are catalysts for the rapid growth of a thick beard.

Add some of these what foods to your daily routine and boost the strength and health of your hair.

The best fitness for beards.

As mentioned above, beards are directly dependent on testosterone and DHT. The more testosterone you produce, the more is converted into DHT, increasing the growth of the beard.

To increase your testosterone naturally, you need to sleep a lot, but only a little more than usual. So anywhere between 7-10 hours will do you good. Most testosterone is produced during the REM cycle, so more sleep = more testosterone.

You also need to make sure you're eating enough. Low calorie diets can have a big impact on your reproductive system by reducing testosterone growth. So stock up on snacks that you can carry with you throughout the day and don't be afraid to eat a little too much.

Now as far as exercise is concerned. Concentrate on free weights. There are many studies that show that this type of workout increases testosterone production and may even increase the activity of the receptors responsible for its absorption, leading to an even better result.

A body with a fat percentage of 8-14% is ideal for maximum testosterone production. Without, of course, the extra fat being an obstacle. Go to the gym or wherever you work out and work out with dumbbells.

By lifting weights and challenging yourself you will increase your testosterone and contribute to getting the beard you've been waiting for.

How do I make my beard thicker?

All we can suggest is to maximize your natural testosterone production in the ways we mentioned earlier, namely proper diet, exercise and weights, sleep, etc.

If you are in your thirties and are following such a lifestyle but not seeing results, you can resort to artificial methods.

You have two options.

The use of strong drugs, which often have side effects, and implantation, which is an expensive solution with uncertain results.

As always we recommend leaving your beard in its natural form.

Accept their appearance and take care of them as best you can, without getting involved with methods whose result is not natural and guaranteed.

Facial hair, besides growing at different rates and having a different length depending on the area, also grow in different directions.

This makes them look scruffy and pressed, with an absence of volume and density.

This is where beard brushes and combs take over.

By using a brush or comb and regularly giving shape and direction to the facial hair, you can make your beard look thicker.

It may seem a little strange at first, but over time you will get used to it and the difference in how much more manageable and denser looking your beard is will become apparent.

Start a grooming routine and you'll find that patience and the right tools and products can even overcome genes.

The fact that you don't have the strongest natural predisposition is not something that should discourage you.

A well-groomed and healthy beard will be indicative of your patience, your efforts, and the care you show for yourself despite its imperfections.

Proudly display the results of your efforts and back up your image with your confidence!

Growing a beard faster.

Let's face it. We've all pretty much counted the time and watched the rate at which our beards grow.

That beards will grow faster and be thicker after shaving is a myth.

The ability to grow a lush and thick beard is something that pretty much all men desire.

Whether we seek to have it is another matter, but regardless, we would all like to know that if we sought it, we could grow a thick and long beard.

In fact, beards are almost never perfect.

We would all like to have perfectly spaced, thick beards that hide every trace of skin, but the reality is different for the majority of us.

There are, nevertheless, ways to grow a simple beard faster.

This can realistically be achieved within 30 days.

Use this information and tips listed below to see a long-term difference in the growth and health of your beard.

1. Stop looking in the mirror.

When it comes to the beard, the more you look at it and observe it carefully, the more imperfections you find and use to judge the appearance of your beard.

You have to accept that it is out of your control in your present situation.

There is no reason to judge the slightest flyaway hair or a small spot where your beard is a little thinner.

The only person who notices these details at this level is you.

The less you look at it and focus on its reflection, the more you will see the difference the times you notice it.

2. Don't tease it.

Aside from the usual grooming and moments of deep thought, you should avoid touching your beard.

We understand it's fun, but it can cause problems and prevent proper growth.

The less contact your hands come in contact with your facial skin, the smoother the hair growth will be.

Reduce their touch as much as possible and in the course of a month you will see substantial improvement.

3. Clean it.

Repeat after us: clean beards are also thicker beards.

Unlike dry beards that are oily, your beard when washed has a healthy appearance and a pleasant look and texture.

Since you are determined to leave the best beard possible, it is worth investing in a quality beard shampoo and conditioner.

They will thoroughly cleanse your beard and soften it.

Establishing a consistent beard grooming routine leads to a healthier beard with faster growth.

4.Hydrate.

Just as cleanliness is important, so is hydration.

Combating dryness in the skin and hair improves the appearance of beards by far.

By using beard softener and beard oil, your skin and beard will not have that annoying dryness.

In many cases, dry skin and even dandruff develops on the beard which block the pores and prevent the hair from regrowing.

In terms of appearance, the oil and conditioner help to control wild hair and make styling easier, since moisturized hair is softer and more manageable.
