The Original Epic

Al Fin is not only the name of this Phoenix Shaving Classic, but also the exact words I shouted out after months of dedicated trial and error upon fruition. For those not familiar with the Spanish language, Al Fin translates in English to something like “At Last.”

I had been working at this scent for some time and had only recently begun exploring the world of perfuming, but with a hunger. I bought every book I could find on the subject and devoured it. At the same time, every day I was scent blending these strange and exotic scents, getting closer to... something. In all honesty, I really didn't create Al Fin—Al Fin created Al Fin, if that makes sense.

Like the muse patiently waiting for her curtain call at the end of a pen, Al Fin was near, but always just out of grasp. This was more due to my inexperience than her unwillingness to reveal herself, as she eventually did. Al Fin is the product of pure passion and a desire to create—I hope she serves you in a similar fashion.

CK-6 is a premium vegan shaving soap base created by Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements (PAA). The initials “CK” stand for “Crown King,” which was an earlier branding for PAA's artisan products, and “6” refers to the evolution of the base—it's the sixth generation or iteration.
