Here are the typical warnings and cautions found on oxidant (developer) bottles or packaging:

General Safety Warnings:

  1. Avoid Contact with Eyes:

    • Oxidants contain hydrogen peroxide, which can cause serious eye irritation. Rinse immediately with plenty of water if it comes into contact with eyes and seek medical advice.

  2. Not for Use on Lashes or Brows:

    • Do not use oxidants to dye eyebrows or eyelashes. This can cause severe irritation or even blindness.

  3. Perform a Patch Test:

    • Always perform an allergy test before use, especially if it’s your first time using the product or if you have sensitive skin.

  4. Use Gloves:

    • Always wear protective gloves during application to prevent skin irritation.

Handling and Application:

  1. Mixing with Hair Dye Only:

    • Oxidants should only be mixed with professional hair color products as directed in the instructions.

  2. Do Not Ingest:

    • Oxidants are harmful if swallowed. Keep out of reach of children.

  3. Avoid Skin Irritation:

    • If the product comes into contact with skin, rinse thoroughly with water. Avoid prolonged exposure.

  4. Processing Time:

    • Do not exceed the recommended processing time to avoid damaging the hair or scalp.

Storage and Disposal:

  1. Store Properly:

    • Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure the cap is tightly sealed after each use.

  2. Dispose Safely:

    • Do not dispose of leftover oxidant in the sink or general waste. Follow local disposal regulations.

    • The product contains hydrogen peroxide, which can cause burns or irritation if mishandled.
