Herold - Solingen Red Strop Paste 5ml

The red paste is a medium grit stropping paste with abrasive particles in the 1 micron range, it is finer than the Green Paste and gives a near mirror finish.

It is great for bringing an edge that has just begun to dull back to sharpness.

The red paste is used for medium to fine sharpening

• Purpose: A medium-fine abrasive that refreshes a slightly dull edge and brings back sharpness.

• Particle Size: 2-4 microns (moderate abrasiveness).

• Usage: Should be used on a dedicated strop for sharpening. Apply a thin layer and use the strop sparingly.

• Effect: Helps restore sharpness when the razor starts losing its edge but is not yet fully dull.

Instructions:

Select the proper side or strop in which you wish to use the diamond paste, and make sure it is properly marked so you don't mix up which paste is where.

Apply a small amount of paste across the center of the strop.

Take the area of your hand under your thumb in the palm of your hand, and lightly spread the paste across the strop.

Now, take the paste on your palm, and begin to work it across the entire strop.

Keep working the paste into the strop using circular motions until the paste is completely and evenly distributed and most of the paste has settled into the strop.
