Frequently Asked Questions
A hair mask is an intensive conditioning treatment that nourishes, hydrates, and repairs hair. It's richer than regular conditioner and penetrates deeply to improve hair health and appearance.
Hair masks help restore moisture, reduce breakage, and leave hair softer and shinier. They’re ideal for dry, colored, or damaged hair that needs extra care.
For most hair types, using a hair mask once or twice a week is enough to maintain moisture and strength. Very dry or chemically treated hair may benefit from more frequent use.
Be consistent and follow the mask's instructions. Overuse can weigh down fine hair, while underuse won’t provide lasting benefits.
Hair masks should be applied after shampooing and before conditioning. Shampoo opens the hair cuticle, allowing the mask to penetrate and deliver nutrients more effectively.
Apply it to damp hair, leave for 5–15 minutes depending on the formula, and rinse thoroughly. You can follow with conditioner if your hair needs extra detangling or sealing.
Yes, hair masks are excellent at reducing frizz and improving the appearance of split ends. Their rich formulas smooth the hair cuticle and seal in moisture, making hair more manageable.
Although they don’t permanently “heal” split ends, consistent use will strengthen hair, reduce breakage, and delay the need for frequent trims.
Yes, you can still use hair masks if your scalp tends to get oily. Focus the application on the mid-lengths and ends, avoiding the roots where oil builds up.
Choose lightweight or balancing masks made for oily or fine hair types. These formulas hydrate without adding extra heaviness or greasiness.
Some masks are safe to leave on overnight, especially natural or silicone-free ones. They provide intense hydration and can be beneficial for very dry or damaged hair.
Use a shower cap or wrap your hair in a towel to avoid staining your pillow. Rinse thoroughly in the morning with lukewarm water and a mild shampoo.
