    This shaving soap will offer you an effective and close shave.

    Some time ago, Barrister and Mann had the extraordinary fortune to obtain a sample of the discontinued, leathery perfume base Mousse de Saxe. Armed with only this small sample and historical records of what went into the original, they set out to re-create the famous design by smell alone. 

    After four months of research, formulation, reformulation, and constant refinement, they successfully rebuilt Mousse de Saxe into its original glory. It seemed only fitting that such an achievement should be used to create a shaving soap inspired by some of the greatest masculine fragrances of all time.

    They blend their version of Mousse de Saxe with lavender, vanilla, cedar, and elegant musk to create a dark, leathery, elegant soap unlike anything seen for nearly a half century.

    The vanillin in Lavanille may cause it to discolor animal hair shaving brushes. Use of a dedicated brush or a synthetic-fiber shaving brush is recommended.

    Directions for use:

    Wet your shaving brush well, then swirl it around the jar for roughly thirty seconds or until a rich, creamy lather is formed. Continue building the lather by adding water (lots and lots of it) and swirling your brush either on your face or in a lathering bowl. Shave, rinse, and spend your day feeling great.
