    How to Perform an Allergy Test for Beard Dyes

    What You'll Need:

    • The beard dye product.
    • A cotton swab or clean applicator.
    • Mild soap and water.
    • A small amount of petroleum jelly (optional).

    Step-by-Step Instructions:

    1. Prepare the Test Area

    • Choose a small, discreet area of your skin to test, such as the inside of your elbow or behind your ear.
    • Clean the area thoroughly with mild soap and water, then pat it dry with a clean towel.

    2. Mix the Dye (If Necessary)

    • Follow the instructions in the product packaging to mix a small amount of the dye (e.g., equal parts colorant and developer, if applicable).
    • Use a clean tool, like a cotton swab, to handle the mixture.

    3. Apply the Dye

    • Using the cotton swab, apply a small amount of the mixed dye to the chosen test area. The patch should be about the size of a coin.
